Asheville.  Found on virtually every top 10 list for everything from craft beer to chocolate to quality of living, it is also the home of the Enka Triathlon at Biltmore Lake.  The race is in its seventh year with Glory Hound Events at the helm and is proud to now be part of the North Carolina Triathlon Series.

The race is centered around the beautiful Biltmore Lake community and features a 750-meter swim in the private lake, a 17.5 mile rolling bike leg in the farmland and rural areas of southern Buncombe County and a 3.1 mile run that takes you around the lake for a finish in front of friends, family and neighborhood residents.

We welcome everyone to come to Asheville to race and have fun.  Whether you are an individual or part of a team, everyone will feel welcome.

Race Shirts

Glory Hound Events and Recover Brands are partnering are on a new way to distribute race shirts for this event.  No more guessing at sizes or getting the color or style you don’t like.  Now, you have a choice.

When you arrive for Packet Pickup you won’t be given a shirt right away.  Instead you will go to the Recover tent, where you can choose from one of three shirt colors, front print and size.  There will even be samples you can try on to make sure your size fits.  If you don’t want the short-sleeve, 50/50 blend, that’s ok too because for a small up-charge you can get a dri-fit tech shirt ($3 additional), long sleeve 50/50 shirt ($2) or even a hoodie ($10).  Once you have selected your shirt, you can either wait for it to be printed or pick it up before or after the race on Saturday.  All you need is your race number to claim your shirt.

We hope you like this new way of doing things.

Great post race food has been a tradition of this race since the beginning and we are pleased to announce Earth Fare will be once again providing lunch for all athletes and volunteers this year.  The menu will be announced closer to the race.
