The Chasing Trail 8K is the trail race of the Asheville Running Experience taking place at Richmond Hill Park.

Online registration opens on Tuesday, January 15, 2018 and closes on Thursday, September 19 at 9:00 PM.
There is a race cap of 100 runners for the Chasing Trail 8K.

Enjoy true outdoor adventure in the Asheville city limits! The Chasing Trail 8K will once again be held at Richmond Hill Park (280 Richmond Hill Drive, Asheville) on a combination of single and double-track trails.

Saturday, September 19 – Richmond Hill Park – 8:00-9:00 AM
The Asheville Running Experience is offering shirts for all events on an ala carte basis. These are short-sleeve, cotton blend shirts with the 2020 race art.
Grab a water and snack, stay for the awards ceremony then head down to the Salvage Station for a complimentary beer (for those 21 and over) and activities of the Super races.
Awards will be given to the top 10 male and female finishers.
Awards will be based on gun time. This is a manual tag timed event and will not have chip timing.
Parking is available adjacent to the race site at Richmond Hill Park and on the roads leading to the park and the National Guard Armory.
The Asheville Running Experience has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer partial discount codes for cancellations during our cancellation periods. If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 30 days prior to the race date. If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 14 days prior to the race date. Discount codes can be used to register for the 2021 race and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
You may transfer your registration to another participant up to 14 days prior to the race day with a $2 transfer fee. You may only transfer an entry in the same race. Email your transfer request to firstname.lastname@example.org with your original registration information, including confirmation number as well as the email address for the participant who will be taking your place. Emails must be received no later than Monday, September 14, 2020.
Official results will be posted at www.AVLRunningExperience.com after the race.
