8:00 AM

The Enka Triathlon at Biltmore Lake celebrates it’s tenth anniversary in 2017 as the premier triathlon in the Asheville area.  Whether you are a local, frequent visitor to the area or a first-timer, this race gives the complete experience of our region.  Biltmore Lake is only 15 minutes from our bustling downtown but the race is totally residential and rural in nature.  Before and after the race, we invite you to experience our nationally ranked restaurant, brewery, chocolate and shopping scene to get the full flavor of what it means to race and experience life in Asheville.  Please take a few minutes to watch this video about our great city.

It was a beautiful morning to celebrate our tenth anniversary at Biltmore Lake and we thank all who participated.  Results are posted below.

The race is centered around the beautiful Biltmore Lake community and features a 750-meter swim in the private lake, a 17.5 mile rolling bike leg in the farmland and rural areas of southern Buncombe County and a 3.1 mile run that takes you around the lake for a finish in front of friends, family and neighborhood residents.

The water temperature has been borderline wet-suit legal (78 degrees or less) the past number of years.  A water temperature will be taken the Monday of race week and published for planning purposes.  The official water temperature will be taken on race morning.

Run Course Update: A portion of the trail around the lake is closed to construction.  We will use a new run course that consists of two out-and-backs sections.  There will be one aid station that will be passed twice.

We welcome everyone to come to Asheville to race and have fun. Whether you are an individual or part of a team, everyone will feel welcome.
