Lake Logan welcomes you to the its 12th year of racing on Sunday, August 6. The international distance race has quickly become one of the premier races in the Southeast, attracting athletes from across the country. The Sunday date provides a great option for couples wanting a variety of races to choose from over the weekend.
1500 meter Swim, 24 mile Bike, 6.2 mile Run

The deadline to register and receive a race shirt is midnight on Monday, July 23.
Race Cap: The race is capped at the first 500 participants.

You must be a current USA Triathlon member and present a current USAT membership card at packet-pickup. Those who don’t have their card or who are not USAT members, must purchase a one-day membership for $15.
You must be 13 years old to participate in the Lake Logan International Triathlon.
Swim – The swim will start at the dock and follow a clock-wise, rectangular course finishing at a floating dock located just past the bridge. Athletes will then run on grass to T1.
Bike – Athletes will run their bike out of transition to Lake Logan Road before mounting. The course will take them east to Canton before returning through Clyde and Bethel.
Run – The run course is an out and back course on Lake Logan Road west of Lake Logan. Once returning to the LLEC, runners will complete a lap in the grass field behind the transition area before proceeding to the finish line. There is an elevation gain on the outward half of the course of 199′.

Everyone who registers by midnight on Monday, July 23 will receive the official race shirt. All participants will also receive another piece of top-notch swag. We will announce what this item will be in early 2018.
After your race please join us for a post-race lunch near the gazebo. This is near the finish area so you can watch the race finish while you relax. This will also be the site of the awards ceremony.
For the sake of your fellow competitors, please do not remove your bike from transition until 10 AM. This will allow everyone to compete under the same conditions.
Cash awards from the Todd Stien Memorial will be made as follows:
1st Overall (male and female) – $575, 2nd Overall (male and female) – $400, 3rd Overall (male and female) – $275
Awards will be awarded to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups:
Overall, Advanced, Masters Advanced, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, Clydesdale (Males 220 pounds and over), Master Clydesdale, Athena (Females 165 pounds and over), Novice, Aquabike
Awards will be presented to each member of the top three relay teams in the Mixed Relay category.
In order to recognize the top 3 finishers at the race and allow all finishers to score in the North Carolina Triathlon Series, we double dip at this event. The top 3 finishers will receive an overall award and an award in their racing categories.
Note: Your age group will be determined by your age on December 31, 2018.
The race will utilize chip timing. Swimmers will be provided a strap to attach to their ankles and volunteers will remove the strap after the race.
Triathlon participants will receive 5 splits; aquabike participants will receive three splits.
All athletes and spectators should park in the Athlete Parking area located across the bridge and on the left once you arrive at Lake Logan. There is no athlete or bike dropoff’s. Please follow the directions of the volunteers.
Glory Hound Events and Set Up Events have a no refund policy.
Race organizers reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel the race in the interest of participant and/or public safety.

Cottages: A limited number of beautifully restored cottages and cabins are available at reasonable rates for the weekend at the event site. Two night minimum.
Double occupancy (with 3 meals) – $110 (plus tax) per person per night
Single occupancy (with 3 meals) – $140 (plus tax) per person per night
Youth rate (12-16 w/adult with 3 meals) – $60 (plus tax) per person per night
Child rate (4-11 w/adult with 3 meals) – $ 40 (plus tax) per person per night
Under 4 with adult – Free
Dog Deposit – $50 non-refundable
Dorms: There is room for 20 females, 20 males in camp bunks with showers. The cost for the dorm with three meals per day is $60 (plus tax) per person per night. Please bring your own linens.
Camping: Back by popular demand, camping will be available in a marked area of the back field. There is a two-night minimum. The cost is $25 per night (plus tax).
