Join us for the second Red, White and Blue Ridge 5K in Cashiers, NC as we celebrate America and raise money for Blue Ridge Early College.
Welcome to the second Red, White & Blue Ridge 5K, hosted by Blue Ridge School in beautiful Cashiers, North Carolina. This will be the fastest July 4th 5K in the mountains and all proceeds will assist Blue Ridge Early College programs.
Race Day – July 4, 2020
Online registration opens on Wednesday, January 1 at 9:00 AM EST and will close on Thursday, July 2 at 9:00 PM EDT.
Early Entry (January 1-February 29): $25 with shirt
Regular Entry (March 1-May 31): $30 with shirt
Late Entry (June 1-Race Day): $35 with shirt
Fun Run – $5 (no shirt included)
Stay on the Couch/Sponsor a Student – Help the school or a deserving student and never leave your couch – $25
The race will start and finish at the Cashiers Recreation Center on Frank Allen Road and will be an out-and-back using Valley Road (gravel), Cashiers School Road and Cashiers Lake Road. This course is super flat with only 56 feet of elevation gain along the course.
This .5-mile run/walk will take place entirely on Frank Allen Road

5K Start – 8:30 AM
5K Awards Ceremony – Approximately 9:45 AM
All 5K race entries include a race shirt, however, the deadline to enter and receive a shirt in your size is Wednesday, June 24.
Please stay around for post-race food and drink and the awards ceremony .
5K awards will be given to the top overall male and female, the top masters male and female and the top 3 male/female in the following age groups: 14&Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70&Over.
The race will utilize chip timing. Chips are located on your race bib which must be worn on the front of your race clothes.
Some parking is available at and behind the Cashiers Recreation Center, however, all cars must be removed no later than 11:00 AM to allow the town to prepare for that evening’s fireworks show.
Other parking is available at the volunteer fire department and food bank on Frank Allen Road.
Car pooling is encouraged.
The event has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer partial discounts for those canceling during our cancellation periods.
If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 7 days days prior to the race date.
Partial discount codes are only available for cancellations of completed registrations. A registration is considered incomplete if payment was mailed in and has not yet been received.
Discount codes can be used to register for the 2021 event and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
This policy only applies to the Red, White & Blue Ridge. Discount codes from the previous year may not be used for any other events owned or managed by Glory Hound Events or its partnerships.
