The private trails of the Southcliff community in Fairview beckon you to run them with either the 6.5-mile Black race or 2.6-mile Blue race. This race features the best prizes and post-race party of any in the area including a catered lunch and beer.
Runners who have raced at Southcliff before can expect much of the same as past years, with unique courses on private roads and trails, amazing views, catered post-race lunch and beverages from local producers, and the most generous awards in the area.
The race names are based on ski slope classifications. The Black Course is the hardest at 6.5 miles while the easier Blue Course is 2.6 miles. Both courses feature the first mile on road with the remained on the groomed trails that wind through the Southcliff community.
The Black Race will start at 9:00 AM and the Blue Race at 9:05 AM at the gatehouse.
Race Cap: The event is capped at 100 runners per race.

Southcliff is famous for its awards. The top finishers in each race receive a custom piece of furniture from Appalachian Designs. We will announce in the coming months the specific pieces for 2015.
The top three in each group, male and female, will win gift cards to an area retailer ($30 for 1st, $20 for 2nd, $10 for 3rd). The age groups in both races are: 15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 & Over.
Please plan on being present for the awards ceremony or make arrangements for someone else to pick up your award. Awards will not be mailed.
Times will be based on gun times. Because of the intimate nature of the race, we will not be using timing chips.
Race parking will be in the Southcliff community near the main lodge. Members of the Fairview Fire Department will be there to direct you upon your arrival.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Runners may request a 50% credit towards the 2016 race through IM Athlete.
Runners may transfer their entry to another runner by completing the Transfer Form. The deadline for this is September 5, 2015.
We love our volunteers, who make the event possible. If you would like to volunteer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll find a great spot for you.
