Half Marathon

Glory Hound Events produces a variety of Half Marathons each with their own unique courses. These races take place around Western North Carolina, known for its scenic beauty, culture, and diverse climates.

The Gateway to the Smokies Half Marathon takes place in Waynesville and includes portions both inside and outside of this tranquil mountain town.

The Strawberry Jam Half Marathon is held just outside of Bryson City at Darnell Farms, which hosts a festival of the same name that weekend. This race goes through town before heading toward and into the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The Wilson Creek Half Marathon (formerly known as the Scream) is an out-and-back race in the spectacular Wilson Creek Recreation Area near Lenoir, North Carolina.  Runners run along Wilson Creek throughout the race and can then soak in its cool waters afterward.

The Geyser Growl Half Marathon takes runners on a combination of paved and forested gravel roads in the height of leaf season, beginning in Black Mountain, NC, and ending in Old Fort, NC at Hillman Beer where hot soup awaits you.
