For thirteen years, the Asheville Brewing Super Hero 5K taking place in Asheville, NC has celebrated the inner super hero in all of us. As we come to the end of a challenging 14 months due to a pandemic, many of us have come to realize super heroes have always been among us.
As we prepare to celebrate the 14th Asheville Brewing Super Hero 5K/Super Villain 10K, Presented by Black Orthodontics, on September 11 at Rabbit Rabbit, Glory Hound Events wants to honor as many super heroes in our communities as possible! These super heroes have been on the front lines for the last year serving the community at large. From the emergency responders, doctors, and nurses to the teachers and hospitality industry workers and everyone in between, Glory Hound Events wants to honor these super heroes with 20% off entry fees to this year’s races.
All agencies, organizations, and businesses across Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and McDowell counties who provided services and kept businesses running during the pandemic are eligible. To participate, we are asking agencies, organizations, and businesses to submit a short enrollment form. Once approved, Glory Hound Events will provide a discount code specific to your group which participants can use to receive 20% off when registering. This is our way of saying thanks.
We invite every member of our running/walking community to join us September 11 and encourage everyone to dress up as your favorite super hero, whether that be from a comic book or movie or as those local super heroes who stepped up this past year when we needed them most.
This year’s race is capped at 1,000 participants and we urge everyone to pre-register to secure a spot.
