DESCRIPTION:The Frosty 5K on Saturday has been cancelled.  We and the race owners – Haywood Community College\, Town of Clyde and Haywood TDA – have determined the combination of very low temperatures and the increasing possibility of a snow event will create unsafe conditions for participants\, volunteers and staff.\nThe event will not be rescheduled for another date.\nThose of you who purchased race shirts may pick up yours starting next Monday\, February 2\, at the Clyde Town Hall\, 8437 Carolina Boulevard\, Monday-Friday\, 9 AM-12 PM and 1-5 PM.  This includes everyone in Western North Carolina.  Those outside of Western North Carolina will be mailed their shirt.\nMany of the events of IceFest are still taking place around Haywood County.  For more information\, please click HERE.\nWe greatly appreciate your support of this event and wish nature would have allowed us to put it on safely.  We will try again next year.\n\n\n\nCapacity\n\nFor the enjoyment of everyone involved\, the race has a capacity of 200 participants.\n\nRegistration\n\nRegistration is now closed as we have reached our maximum capacity for the event.  There will be no late registrations on race day.

DESCRIPTION:It is with much sadness we must cancel the 2025 Wilson Creek Half Marathon.  We were informed on July 7 by the US Forest Service that because of storm remediation and reconstruction from Hurricane Helene and infrastructure construction on the course\, they will not issue the permit for this year’s race.\nAll registered participants will be notified via email as to the next steps we will take for their registration.\nThank you for your support of this event.
