Race Information
April 1-Race Day: Adults-$40, Haywood Community College & K-12 Students-$25
$10 for dogs
Note: The entry fees shown here do not include service charges and taxes added by the registration platform. Those fees will be visible during the online registration process.
Saturday, September 13 – 8:30-9:45 AM – Haywood Community College, Hemlock Building lobby (Freedlander Drive)
We will accept on-site registration up to 15 minutes before the start of the event.
The race will start in the north parking lot of the Hemlock Building and includes a combination of paved road, dirt path and trail before finishing near the Mill Pond.
There will be one water station on the course, about half way through the race.
Volunteers will be stationed at each turn and there will be signs marking every turn.
We ask you to stay to the right side of the road/trail whenever possible.
Because of the narrow nature of some of the trail sections on the course, strollers will not be permitted.
Stuff
All 5K runners will receive a custom race shirt and goody bag.
Shirts will be ordered on or around August 28 so anyone registering after that date may not receive a shirt and/or in the size they prefer.
Water and light snacks will be provided near the finish line with live music at the JM West Lumberjack facility.
The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 11:15 AM at the JM West Lumberjack facility.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 male and female finishers, regardless of age.
The race will utilize chip timing for 5K runners. The chips are attached to the back of your race bib so don’t crinkle them.
Walkers will also receive bibs but their journey will be untimed.
Please wear your bib on the front of your clothing so we know who you are at all times.
You may run with your dog for an additional $10. They should be well behaved with current tags and vaccinations and on a short leash.

Cancellations/Transfers
Haywood Community College has a NO REFUND policy.
Transfers
To transfer your registration to another person please log into Race Roster and select Transfer where prompted. All transfers must be completed by Thursday, September 11 at 9:00 PM EDT.
This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
