Half Marathon
Glory Hound Events produces a variety of Half Marathons each with their own unique courses. These races take place around Western North Carolina; known for its’ scenic beauty, culture, and diverse climates. Half marathon races include two downhill races; the Downhill at Dawn Half Marathon and The Scream! Half Marathon, as well as the cultural experience of the Cherokee Harvest Half Marathon.
The Downhill At Dawn takes place at the Ridgecrest Center in Black Mountain NC, taking runners on a combination of paved and forested gravel roads, ending in Old Fort, NC. The extremely popular Scream! Half Marathon, known for its’ “13.1 mile of pure hill” and dropping almost 2000 vertical feet, starts in Jonas Ridge, NC and ends in the ghost town of Mortimer, NC. The Cherokee Harvest Half Marathon returns after a one year hiatus and features the best swag and post race food in the area. Combined with amazing scenery that may include an elk siting and cultural experiences, this is one not to be missed.
