The Frosty 5K on Saturday has been cancelled. We and the race owners – Haywood Community College, Town of Clyde and Haywood TDA – have determined the combination of very low temperatures and the increasing possibility of a snow event will create unsafe conditions for participants, volunteers and staff.
The event will not be rescheduled for another date.
Those of you who purchased race shirts may pick up yours starting next Monday, February 2, at the Clyde Town Hall, 8437 Carolina Boulevard, Monday-Friday, 9 AM-12 PM and 1-5 PM. This includes everyone in Western North Carolina. Those outside of Western North Carolina will be mailed their shirt.

We greatly appreciate your support of this event and wish nature would have allowed us to put it on safely. We will try again next year.
Registration is now closed as we have reached our maximum capacity for the event. There will be no late registrations on race day.
Race Information
THIS IS A FREE EVENT! While there are no entry fees, you must register to participate.
The entire event will take place on the campus of Haywood Community College using campus paved roads and gravel trails for a two-loop course. It will start and finish in front of the Hemlock Building.

Those who purchased race shirts may pick up yours starting next Monday, February 2, at the Clyde Town Hall, 8437 Carolina Boulevard, Monday-Friday, 9 AM-12 PM and 1-5 PM. This includes everyone in Western North Carolina. Those outside of Western North Carolina will be mailed their shirt.
Awards will be given to the top 5 finishers, male and female.
The race will utilize chip timing. A timing chip will be on the back of your race bib, which should be worn on your front and visible at all times during the race.
All event parking will be in the Hemlock Building parking lots. There will be no parking in the area around the front of the building where the event start and finish will take place.
The Frosty 5K has a NO REFUND policy.
You may transfer your registration to another person. There will be a $2 processing fee.
To transfer your registration to another person please log into Race Roster and select Transfer where prompted. All transfers must be completed by Thursday, January 29 at 9:00 PM EDT.
This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
