Thank you to all who came out for our inaugural race on a beautiful Thanksgiving morning. We hope you and your family had a great start to your holiday and we look forward to doing it again next year. Results are posted below.
All pre-registered runners who register on or before 1:00 EDT on Wednesday, November 3 is guaranteed a shirt in their size. After that date, it will be based on availability.
Indoor restrooms are adjacent to Weldon Gymnasium.
After you finish the race, please join us for drinks and snacks prior to the awards ceremony.
Special prizes will be presented to the top three overall male and female and top Masters (40 & Over) male and female.
Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 15 & Under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over.
No double dipping!
Your race bib contains a timing chip that will start when you cross the timing mat at the start line and end when you cross the finish line.Please do not crinkle your bib.
Please wear your race bib on your front so it is visible when you cross both the start and finish lines.
Well-behaved, vaccinated dogs on leashes are welcome. If you are running with a dog, please start in the back of the pack.
The principle parking areas are the Bethea Welcome Center (91 North Lakeshore Drive), Center for Evangelism, York Dining Commons and near the pool on Melody Lane .Please do not park along the side of the road unless it is in a marked space.
Should the event be cancelled due to COVID-19 or weather related issues, the Waynesville Sunrise Rotary Club will defer all registered participants into the 2022 race.Otherwise, the following cancellation policies apply:
If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 7 days days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 7 days days before the event, if the event is not sold out.
If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 5 days days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 5 days days before the event, if the event is sold out.
Partial discount codes are only available for cancellations of completed registrations. A registration is considered incomplete if payment was mailed in and has not yet been received.
Discount codes can be used to register for the 2020 event. This policy only applies to the Waynesville Sunrise Rotary Turkey Trot. Discount codes from the previous year may not be used for any other events owned or managed by Glory Hound Events or its partnerships.
Transfers of entries between participants will be accepted through November 19 by completing and submitting this Transfer Form. This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
Volunteers are needed for Set-Up, Parking, Course Marshals, Food & Drink and Take-Down. This event will not happen without a great group of volunteers. To be one, email Lane Perry at firstname.lastname@example.org
