Wow! What a night!

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the 10th anniversary of this great race. We could not have done it without our runners who conquered those hills in the heat and humidity; the volunteers from Connect Buncombe who showed them the way; the amazing staff of Highland Brewing Company; our sponsors; and all of the supporters in Beverly Hills and Gashes Creek who cheered them on and sprayed them with water.

We can’t wait to see you again when we start a new decade of racing in 2025.

Course(s)

The Highland Brewing Night Flight rolling course will take you from Highland to the Beverly Hills neighborhood of East Asheville and through the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. As you leave Beverly Hills there will be a downhill section before crossing Swannanoa River Road and hooking up with Azalea Road before taking Gashes Creek Road to the its end where you will meet up with a trail leading back to the brewery and the finish line in the Meadow.

The course will be staffed with volunteers and police throughout.

While the course is not designed for walkers, walkers who can maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile are welcome!

Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome to participate as our parents with strollers.

Neighborhood Impacts

Those in the Gashes Creek neighborhood can expect to see runners and walkers on Azalea Road and Gashes Creek Road between 7:45 and 9:00 PM.

Costume Contest

The theme this year is “Flight.” Whether you throw on some fairy wings, wear a Marty McFly jacket, or pair an aviator cap with your running shoes, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Prizes: 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place awarded with Highland Gift Cards – $40, $20, $10

Proceeds

100% of race proceeds will be directed to Connect Buncombe for the development of greenways in Asheville and Buncombe County.

Post Race

There will be a post-race celebration in the Meadow following the race with music by DJ Mitch, snacks, awards, and of course, beer.

Runners over 21 will be able to exchange the ticket on their bib for one Highland beer or non-alcoholic beverage at the post race party. Please have your ID available. Remember to tip your servers!

We will break up the awards ceremonies into two parts on the Meadow Stage:

Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39: Approximately 8:30 PM

40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over: Approximately 9:00 PM

Award Categories

Top three Overall male and female finishers

Top male/female finisher in Masters (40 & Over) and Grand Masters (50 & Over).

Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over. No double dipping!

In addition to our commemorative bottles, our Night Flight prize partner – Jus Running– is providing gift certificates to our overall award winners.

Overall Male/Female: 1st-$50, 2nd-$25, 3rd-$15

Masters (40&Over), Grandmasters (50&Over): 1st-$15

In addition, our sponsor, Fjallraven, will provide prizes to our six overall winners.

If you cannot stay for the awards ceremony, please ask a friend to pick it up for you. Awards are fragile and cannot be mailed.

Cancellations & Transfers

Highland Brewing has a NO REFUND policy.

To transfer your registration to another person please follow these steps. The deadline to transfer a registration is Thursday, June 27 at 9:00 PM EDT.

1. Click on ‘My Account’ when logged into EnMotive
2. Go to your “Registrations” view and find the Registration you’d like to Transfer
3. Click on the action icon in the top right corner of the registration field
4. Select ‘Transfer Registration’
5. Enter the email address of the person you want to transfer the registration to
6. That individual will receive an email notifying them of the transfer, and they’ll be instructed on how to accept it

• The transfer will only be valid for 48 hours, so be sure they accept quickly!

Transfers may be made up to the end of online registration but please allow time for the other person to accept it.

This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
