We are Back! The Highland Brewing Night Flight returns after a year’s slumber on Saturday, July 17, ready to race and celebrate our seventh year. The 4.5-mile East Asheville course will take runners through the Asheville Golf Course, through the Beverly Hills neighborhood (where you will be showered with cheers, and maybe sprinklers, from the residents) and past the WNC Nature Center before finishing back at Highland Brewing Company. This year’s post-race party and awards ceremony will be at the Meadow. Glow swag will be provided, dressing up is always encouraged, and there will be beer waiting for you at the finish line! 100% of race proceeds go to the development of greenways in Asheville and Buncombe County through Connect Buncombe. The race will be capped to start at only 300 participants and we expect it sell out very quickly.

The Highland Brewing Night Flight rolling course will take you from Highland to the Beverly Hills neighborhood of East Asheville and through the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. As you leave Beverly Hills there will be a downhill section before crossing Swannanoa River Road and hooking up with Azalea Road before taking Gashes Creek Road to the its end where you will meet up with a trail leading back to the brewery and the finish line in the Meadow.
The course will be staffed with volunteers and police throughout. Reflective clothing and other blinking lights are encouraged but not required.
While the course is not designed for walkers, walkers who can maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile are welcome!
Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome to participate.
Each runner will receive a special, one-time race shirt to mark the occasion (unless the no-shirt option is selected). The deadline to register and guarantee your shirt size is July 7.

100% of race proceeds will be directed to Connect Buncombe for the development of greenways in Asheville and Buncombe County.
There will be a post-race celebration in the Meadow following the race with snacks, awards, and of course, beer.
Runners over 21 will be able to exchange the ticket on their bib for one Highland beer or non-alcoholic beverage at the post race party. Please have your ID available.
The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 8:45 PM on the Meadow stage.
The 27th and 270th finisher will receive a prize pack from Highland Brewing Company. These will be announced during the awards ceremony.
Top three Overall male and female finishers
Top male/female finisher in Masters (40 & Over) and Grand Masters (50 & Over).
Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over. No double dipping!
The race will utilize a combination of gun and chip timing. A timing chip will be on the back of your race bib, which should be worn on your front and visible at all times during the race.
The clock will start when the horn sounds at the start and end when you cross the finish line.
Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome to participate.
Highland has room for about 400 cars at the brewery. Car pooling and ride sharing is very much encouraged. Please do not park on the driveway leading to the brewery.
Those who are pre-registered for the 2020 race will have their entry automatically deferred to the 2021 race. You will not need to re-enter the race.
Highland Brewing has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer partial discounts for those canceling during our cancellation periods.
If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 7 days days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 7 days days before the event, if the event is not sold out.
If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 5 days days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 5 days days before the event, if the event is sold out.
Partial discount codes are only available for cancellations of completed registrations. A registration is considered incomplete if payment was mailed in and has not yet been received.
Discount codes can be used to register for the 2022 race and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
This policy only applies to the Highland Night Flight. Discount codes from the previous year may not be used for any other events owned or managed by Glory Hound Events or its partnerships.
Transfers of entries between participants will be accepted by submitting this Transfer Form. This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
We are really excited to once again be partnering with Connect Buncombe this year. This greenway advocacy group will be providing the course marshals and aid station volunteers for the race.
