Due to current limitations for social gatherings and best practices for races, we do not believe we can produce this event according to the vision we created last year. We want to honor Riley Howell to the fullest and we cannot do that in the current climate. We are postponing the race to April 3, 2021when we look forward to a better day where we can truly honor Riley and have a great day out on the roads of beautiful Waynesville.
Everyone who is entered and those that cancelled earlier will be deferred into the new date in the same race they entered previously. There is no need to do anything.
The course will remain the same from the 2017 route and include parts of Waynesville, Hazelwood and the Plott Creek area of Haywood County.
There are five aid stations on the course serving water and Gatorade.
