5K/8K/10K & Other Races
Glory Hound Events produces a variety of shorter running events that include 5K, 8K, and 10K races. These races take place in Asheville, NC and the surrounding Western North Carolina region, known for its scenic beauty, culture, and diverse climates. Courses range from the super fast and flat of the AVL Runway 5K at Asheville Regional Airport to the super challenging Ascent at Mountain Air in Burnsville, NC, or the festive Waynesville Sunrise Rotary Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day in Lake Junaluska. Regardless of your level, there is a 5k, 8k, or 10K, race that’s a good match. Also, most of these shorter races are walker friendly.
