It is with much sadness we must cancel the 2025 Wilson Creek Half Marathon. We were informed on July 7 by the US Forest Service that because of storm remediation and reconstruction from Hurricane Helene and infrastructure construction on the course, they will not issue the permit for this year’s race.
All registered participants will be notified via email as to the next steps we will take for their registration.

Race Information
Our course is an out-and-back on Brown Mountain Beach Road inside the Wilson Creek Recreation Area in the Grandfather Ranger District. The entire course is run along the river providing amazing views throughout the race. Those who ran the old Ridge-to-Bridge/Peak-to-Creek Marathon will recognize this as the last section of that race.
This course is currently not USA Track & Field certified.
Course Cutoff Time: All participants must complete the 13.1 mile course in 3:30 hours or less.
Aid stations will be located at two-mile intervals (approximate) along the course. Each will offer water and energy drink with some having cookies and/or pretzels.
